reminds me of Daft Punk. really nice, flowing textures that massage my ears. I reckon you could extend it easily by taking a few of those progressions and throwing down a glitchy beat or even a relaxed break beat and it could transform into a chilled loungey tune.
Anyway, good stuff, potential here to make a tune I reckon ;)

I might actually go back and rework it, its been sitting on my computer for a while, and I just got bored and decided to do something with it. (the trumpet thing was on a huge sample disc I bought, just threw it in for kicks) It might turn into a solid DnB someday, but.. I'll just see what people say about it for now. Thanks for the review!

This is some really off the wall listening, but it holds together. That 3 note synth motif is gold, nice wavery lo-fi quality. Would have loved to hear it ramp up at the end backed up by some insane breakbeats.
So many letters! I enjoy a lot of the effects you've got in there, its got kind of a middle/eastern - hip-hop kind of vibe. Definitely some tasty effects in there, I like the space/reverb effect in the beatless interlude. You seem to crank up the depth for an instant, nice.
Kind of abstract, but an enjoyable listen.

but...YES! The synth! I routed it's LFO to a rotery button to achieve that. IT'S SO FUCKING FUN!
Yet another track I didn't get to perfect. I saved this old copy for my brother because a group of us had it all stuck in our heads all day.
It started out as a project for a MIDI class I was taking in College. I ended up adding a bunch of stupid effects and instruments to meet the project requirements. I prefer this rough version, so decided to upload it.
I got the voices from my
*google* Blue Snowball mic.
I record in Sound Forge via USB, save the full recording, and then continue by making individual samples of all the letters. Finally, I create a new NN-XT in Reason3 and import all of the samples on the keyboard. Then after allll that crap putting each individual letter on each key... I get Recycle. Then all I gotta do is create a .rex track with the unedited vocals. Horray!
If you do that, still import it into an NN-XT for more control.
I had an LFO CV routed to the pan, probably an AUX scream, and reverb as well.

man, this is a cool little track once it gets into full swing. Your melodies are really well done and are totally video game worthy. Powerful bass to start, I have to say I wasn't such a huge fan of the phat synth that drifted in and out, it was a little bit distracting. It sounds cool, maybe just once every 4 bars or something, to drift into the next section?
The beat carries everything along well, you've got those snare patterns totally down, but I wanted it louder! But i guess you wanted it to be a bit laid back, so its understandable.
I probably enjoyed the second half the best with those cool 'chip' melodies. Supported very well with that chord progression. Nice!
Hmmm...seems to be a little bit of a surprise for the listener after the fadeout ;)

Dude, the chord progression you've got and the melodic ideas are all very good. But the lead sound, like in some of your others, is just way too, well, obnoxious and loud! Especially for a slower song, I think something a bit more mellow and sweet would suit.
Just fix that up, and this would be an enjoyable chilled track. Maybe spice up the bassline a little while you're at it. :)

I always seem to have problems with leads. That's normally why I make a lot of DNB tracks using basses as the leads. :P I'll have to work on making better leads for my songs.

I listened to this at least 4 or 5 times while I was surfin' the net. A lot of nice integration of different ideas and cool percussive elements...Music for a meditative savage, like me!
It sounds good to me, but perhaps the kick could use a bit of steroid injection. Other than that, I have to compliment you on some rather fine synth usage!

I've had alot of trouble with my computer over 2006, and I've lost a lot of my work in the process of shitty backups and etc.. Only way i was able to save this was I burned it onto a CD to see what it sounded like in my car speakers.

LOL. It took me about three/four hours to make this song.
I used Z3ta+ for the Trance lead and chords at the start. The drum samples are from the VEC2 pack and the bassline is made with the Arturia Mnimoog. All sequencing and FX were done in FL Studio.
I'm hoping to do more tracks like this. More of the Anthem/Hand Up! style Trance.

By all means, make it a complete track. I dig the filter sweep into the first section. Very cool beats, the clap and hats are just right in my mind. The kick is cool, personally, I prefer something a bit rougher, but it works just fine. Cool high melody, maybe a second backup one in the mid frequencies to fill out the mix a bit?
The bass gives good driving energy. I know I'm an annoying reviewer :) but I get the feeling that if you replaced each bass note with 2 of half the length. Like <kick>(duh-duh><kick><duh-duh> it might suit better? hmm...just a guess! Dont listen to me! Its just that the offbeat bassline has been done a zillion times...you cant go wrong with it though.
Anyway, its got potential! Expand!

Sounds rad man. Very good beats and enough variation to keep me on my toes. Good strong string presence. Wasn't getting too much bass to feed my appetite though! It was kind of up to the strings to fill in the low end. The saw synth had a cool melody, it just sounded a little bit raw..I REALLY liked the second melodic synth that came in.
Cool vocal messing, would have loved to hear that throughout the song..Maybe a bit of a vocal stutter before a new section or something.
