Good stuff mate

Very good track! The guitars are really addictive, I could listen to this one for quite some time. There's not a great deal of development in the track, but its a nice groove. Slightly sinister tone, I like it ;)
This track would probably get a bit more love in the 'Video Game' category. I can see why you put it in ambient though, as it has a lot of atmosphere.
Keep up the good work.

Momo-the-Monkey responds:

well, thankyou! And yea, i figured, "Hey, why put it in the video game catagory, when i could be safe and put it in the ambient catagory?" I just figured that i might get some flame for putting it in the video game catagory with having nothing to do with video games.

And you're right, i could listen to this one for hours. Another one you might like is Dance of the Robots.

good stuff!

Considering its your first track up, its really great! The beat is nice and upbeat, perhaps the snare could have a bit more impact, but the beat drives the track along nicely.
Good variety of the acid synths and the more melodic ones and mixed really well which is a good sign at this early stage! Personally, I took AGES to get that under control.
Well, keep up the good work!

bjoaierjbioaerjgoerj responds:

thanx!

NG on lock, yea boi...

I like it heaps. Sounds like a backing track Dre might come up with. The rap is tight, and I'm a sucker for the whole vocoder/speech synth idea. The Einstein line was aight foo'.

Very inventive, I enjoyed it.

cornandbeans responds:

XD yay. I really had to work with some pronounciation things, Einstien sounded like eenstin, so I had to make it Eyn-styen... :P I'm glad you found it entertaining, I sure was doing so writing it. Thanks!

Nice one!

Cool track. Groovy acoustic drums at the start, I get definate ATB vibes from the piano part. I was missing a mightier electronic bass-line but thats just personal prejudice on my part!
Oh, here's the electronics! nice combination with the natural elements. Nice chord progressions, and I would definitely say the same for the first half. You build it up very well, but the bassline doesn't do much for me I have to say. I'm a bit over the off-beat bass.
Nice rich, full feeling when you drop in the pads and the lead elements. The chord progression is very strong. Damn, it ended too soon. It was rockin!
Simple and effective. Nice collab, good to see some teamwork on here!

cornandbeans responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! XI and myself thank you for you great review. I'm the one responsible for the length, though.. poo. I hope to get to make more music with XI and you sometime soon! or maybe even a... 3-way collab! :| wemgee. that would be fancy!

Very well done

Hey, the production is spot on! Great mix and 'full steam ahead' feel that gets you hooked. A huge amount of diversity, I thought the trancy midsection was really effective in breaking up the track. Nice bubbly 303 throughout, its pretty commercial but there's nothing wrong with that. Lol, the panned (snare or tom) percussion sounds like the riff from 'The Bongo Song'.
I'll have to listen to your others, this one is excellent.

NemesisTheory responds:

Hey man, thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked it. :) And yes actually, that drum rif is actually inspired from the one from Safri Duo, thought it really went well with the song. :)

Nice one!

Well put together track Syntrus. Very good evolution in the song, everything nicely in balance, especially when you introduce the plucked synth, the pads co-operate in a very nice way and its always interesting.
It felt like you were building up to something afterwards. I was a bit surprised when the track dropped back to the original bass/beats section. The lead synth sounds great in this one, that opens and closes the track, and plays throughout is really good, but it feels a bit old, like I've heard it heaps. Maybe mess with it a bit to make it a bit more fresh. The same logic could apply to the kick maybe, I dunno, but it sounds good anyway! I'm probably just a fussy bastard. :P
Other than that, this was really cool. I'd rate it a solid 4, so hopefully the 5 brings it a bit closer to that!
Keep up the good work.

Syntrus responds:

lol fussy basterd that makes me laugh

Verrrry nice

man, don't even think about quitting. Every one goes through times when they're sick of it, but just remember how you feel when you make something you're proud of.
By the way, sorry I've been out of touch, I've been REALLY goddamn busy lately! Thanks for your MSN, I'll be sure to add you :P

This one is nicely different. I can imagine it in a boss fight. The intro is where the characters see the boss for the first time, then the arps represent the massive battle that follows. Those are some very tasty arps by the way, nice melodic progression. I like the phasered synth. Its cool how you've doubled up the high synth with the phasered mid-range synth! The percussion at the start does seem a little bit uneven, and there's not many drums throughout the song, but I guess you don't need much in a track like this.
keep going man, this is good stuff!

MuSic-Creater responds:

har hae thans man sry for late reaply bin busuy working on the tf resurge stuff UR HARDLY ON MSN =( so how can we collab? XD thanx for the reveiw ill reveiw ur stuff laters keep up the progres i love ur fuken neww dnb song =)

Glad I could be here to hear it.

This is one for the dance-floor. I really think it would do the business. The arp you introduce is very energetic and propels the track forward effectively. Harmonizes with your more ambient chords that are heard right from the start onwards.
Classic progression when you drop the bass, it might be a touch on the loud side. Excellent build up there, getting those extra arps to lift the energy level.
Nice explosion at the start by the way!
All in all, this one rocks, keep it up! Very melodic but with sufficient drive to keep the audience motivated.

P.S I've got another trance track up I wouldn't mind getting your opinion of if you're in the neighbourhood.

TheComet responds:

thx :D I'll be sure to drop by and check out your new track, I love your stuff
The sfx for the explosion, wind, and combat came from Mu, I've been overly addicted to the MMORPG lately XD (I altered the sfx a TON though, you won't even be able to recognize them if you play the game)

Excellent rhythms

The drums and percussion in this one were slammin' dude. Nicely atmospheric with the reverb you've applied to the parts. The bass is very well done, and even though the bass-line isn't very busy, it gets the job done. The pad helps to kick the track up another level. I'm liking this one!
I think this belongs in Turok 4.
Keep it up man!

TheCon-Sept responds:

turok is a dinosaur hunting game. i don't think it would fit... but maybe in a game like Monster hunter but i still wish i had more reviewers...

State of trance

What are you talking about in your review to my latest trance track. I listen to YOUR songs and I get terrified because mine don't stack up!
I love the orchestral intro, I get the feeling that the NG crowd will REALLY appreciate it, as I do. The transition into the acid goodness which follows is very well done, the acid is not as hard as I prefer, but it fits the tone of the track nicely!
The next section brings back the mellow orchestra, meshes admirably with the bass, definitely a marriage made in heaven ;) This section is very dreamlike and fluid.
That synth you exit the track on, and plays occasionally through the track is killer. I would like to hear it as the centre player in a future track!
Keep it up XI, you're great at this game.
