Rock on

I'm sure there's a lot of people around here who would like this one. Killer drum work, I can't hear much bass but the lead guitar riff sounds like something Sum41 might do. Maybe better live, because the recording is a bit dodgy.
Whats with the death metal vocals? If its punk, I should be able to hear you criticize the government or whatever!
Keep it up.

Hi there

Well, I can honestly say this is the best 2 bar riff I've ever heard on Newgrounds!

Mmm..upgrade

Tasty improvements. The fluttery lead in the second half sounded wicked. This one rocks even harder!
Seems like your compressor is working very hard and making the treble distort. Or maybe you ran the whole drumloop through some overdrive? Gives it a nice underground flavour.
Keep it up! I loved the bass in this one.

Wow..thats great

Killer drum 'n' bass track. I'm really digging it!
Excellent variations and plenty of twists and turns to keep me hooked. Nice use of the 'vocal sample' in there...sounds familiar :)

I'm curious, mind sharing with us what program you use, and which you use to get those phat basses?

Keep up the great work.

Synkon responds:

Thanks, all done in fl studio.

Try messing around with EQ and Compressor.
If youre not too familiar with FL, just use the presets. Hope it helped

Good effort

You know this track is really cool! The vocal is really impressive, very catchy.

The problem is with the bass. For a start, its off key with the rest of the track. And the sound is really bright and high. If it was low and dirty, this would could actually pump in a club. It kind of spoils the potential of the track, the bass.
Work on getting the bass to flow with the vocal, and this is a winner.
Nice transitions and various delayed elements. I like the lead a lot in the second half of the track after the female vocal phrase.
Again, the bass doesn't do the track any favour here.
Keep it up, I see a lot of potential here.

Sweet track

Sweet drumloop and fills in this one dude, overall the progression was awesome. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed but it was really satisfying when the whole force of the song hit me.
I agree with the last reviewer, the buildup was very well done. All the elements came together tastily. Nice thick bass at the drop.
The thing I think you should steer clear from is that 'Newgrounds lead'. Jungle/d'n'b wants a raw and savage sound. I think the sound choice here for the lead was a bit mistaken.
But for the sound you chose, you used it really well. Nice stutters at the transitions, and nice volume automation to the track at times to build suspense and create interest.
Keep it up! Get dirty....4 this time.

PERVOK responds:

Yeah... my original intent for a lead was a thick 303 like sound that is horribly detuned. It sounded amazing, but I just changed it... dunno why. I should change it back :)

Thank you!

Ooh

Nicely distorted and gritty. Feels a bit overcompressed at times. The bass frequency melody is pure madness. Sounds like the devil with a really bad hangover stumbling home to the 7th circle.
Good solid beat. I kind of lost the kick due to the compression though. The bass playing at the same time as the kick no doubt had some impact on how the overall mix was treated by the compressor.
Lots of low frequency elements here create an enjoyably chaotic mix!

Mynewaccountis-OCON responds:

lol, well that's a new way to look at it XD. I'm glad u liked it though man, and I really appreciate the review! And this one had like 3 kicks, but not of them were very heavy to start with anyway lol, so I do suppose the compresser just kinda fucked it over =\... o well, what's done is done =) thank you so much for the review, and all of the constructive feedback!

Classic

Has a nice vintage progressive techno feel to it. The kick sounded bang on to my ears, I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about, still music is very subjective I guess!
The beat is really basic but it works. Good fills, and the bass-line is pretty common, but fits well.
I think the Sytrus lead you bring in is a bit loud, the chorus/phaser you put on it works well though. Goes with the bell melody nicely!
Good track overall, a nice mix.

Mynewaccountis-OCON responds:

Thanks man, the Sytrus was meant to be loud though, but not too loud to cover the vocals in my vocal version, glad u liked it though man! And thanks for your review!

This is the stuff!

This is old-school right here! That spooky bell melody reminds me of the birth of hardcore. Very nice filtering on the lead.
I like the build-up very much, that siren works a treat to build the suspense, into the kind of d 'n' 'b' rhythm. I was missing some high-frequency action after the build though. Could you possibly continue that siren into this section as well?
Oh, I see, you were building up the track more slowly than that! Here we go! You've got a nice high-end lead into the delicious vocal, how do you do that?
Very nice glitchy percussion roll into the wickedly times bass. Dude, I love that filtering! Piano melody works really well, but what I'm really keen on is that frantic synth that follows. Thats the stuff I'm talking about. Delicious techno. Beautiful fadeout, automation of reverb wetness I wonder?
So many parts to this one, took its time to get there, but really hit the spot! Congratz on an epic track.
