Very groovy

Hey, this track it awesome. That filtered guitar is just what the doctor ordererd and the bass is funkalicious.
Tight and bouncy house beats.
This one has all the right ingredients to be excellent background music in a club or a bar.

Some good crystal bell kinds of sounds later after you drop the beat. That filtered brass stab sounds like something Daft Punk might do! Works really well with the funky guitar lick.

Keep it uP!

GangsterRapper responds:

Thank you. I like my funky house tunes. I might be getting this pressed. I'll see how it gos.

Very great!

Hey, this rocks! Classic sounding trance with some new twists. You've really got a large, epic sound going on here. Hits hard right from the start.

bogman247 responds:

thanks!

Yes, submit more breaks!

Righteous track, I'm glad I checked it out.
I love the radio tuning kind of effect at the start, and the drumloop and vocal edit work really well together when you drop it. Great kick.
The bass is chunky and catchy and you've got some cool filtering going on with that variation that you introduce a couple of times, kind of as a fill, works really nicely. Would have liked to see some more actually.
Very very good track development, you've got all those fx and sweeps in the right places. I like those mysterious eerie pads playing that 2 bar pattern, sounds very modern.
Nice build afterwards, and a nice ending, that perhaps didn't pull out all the tricks you could have. I would have liked to see that introductory vocal sample come back in a big way.
Excellent track, make more please!

Amoeboy responds:

i shall. thanx for the review

Epic

The first thing that strikes me is the arrangement is really professional and balanced. The intro is cool with those stuttering electronic fx/percussion, and the transitions are really top of the line.
I love the hats when you bring in the main part, and that filtering over that bar is classy, I wish I had a timescale on the newgrounds player so I could tell you where!!
Oh wait, HERE is the main part! Epic sawtooth! Love a bit of detuned action! Man, thats phat, and I'm listening with headphones as well.
Oh, the song ended too quickly!
Damn, I wanted more, it felt like it could have stepped it up still another gear, but what was here was absolutely ace!
Hardstyle rocks, hope to hear many more from you soon. I'll join you soon, I'm just a bit pre-occupied right now :P

P.S this should get snapped up for a game I reckon.

The-XI responds:

Hey its been a while since I heard from you! If you got any new tracks up man, consider them reviewed =)

Island of music?

Hey, this is cool! It's relaxing, it's techno, hey, what more could a guy ask for?

You've got some really good breaks here, and the arp and that synth playing the long square-wave notes co-operate really nicely.
I like the fills and crashes very much! Only one grumble, considering you're a drummer, the drums here could have been a little bit punchier.
Still, it's a very nice song. Maybe something Daft Punk would have made once upon a time. :)

itsameyayo responds:

Funny, in real life, I play my drums out, but for some reason, no matter how I try, it just doesn't work when I try to get loud drums. Errg...

-Daft Punk? Who that? I'll soon find out : )

Killer groove!

Hey, this rocks! The way all the synths combine to form such a powerful song is great. Everything works together really nicely and the song structure overall is very effective.
I've got the demo of z3ta, its pretty badass, I'm too cheap to buy the whole thing!
I really like the grungy bass in this one, keep it up man!

Anth0n responds:

Someone sent me the full z3ta over AIM for free, so it all worked out. Glad you liked the song!

Another new angle!

Woah, you play a pretty gnarly axe MaestroSorrow! I really enjoy this one. Very cinematic and energetic. I really love the deep percussion stabs and the brass that comes in is wonderful, my only wish is that it continued for longer.
Also, where are your trademark strings? Well, I guess the orchestra needs to sleep every now and then...
Very great work, should be an excellent game.

MaestroSorrow responds:

I can't get the damn strings and the guitars singing at the same time... my computer... she sucks T-T.

When the full version is out, I will let you know, thank you for the review dj_padman1

Very cool

Man, this is awesome!

I can easily imagine it being on an album by Pendulum!?!

tF-ownedyou responds:

Lol.. finally someone noticed. I WANT THIS ACCOUNT REMOVEDDDDDDDDDDDD

Very pleasing

This is a great track! I really enjoy the string sequence you have going there, excellently mixed and the percussion is great, but perhaps a bit loud.
The French horn or trumpet that follows works well, sets the scene very nicely, and the transition into the next section is very thematic with the additional string parts coming in. Well done there.
Is that an oboe I hear later? It sounds very effective anyway. The pizzicato is spot-on with the strings at that point.
I can't say I know much about classical, so unfortunately I can't offer that much in the way of constructive criticism, but I can say that the song sounds excellent!

By the way, in a few of your descriptions for your other tracks, you say things like there's a "lot of experimental accords". Do you mean chords? Or is there new music terminology that I haven't learned about yet?

Tome89 responds:

I can hear that tom giving quite a blast on the compression now. My bad...
Plus it's a trumpet that sounds two times with diffirent attitudes, no french.
And the oboe you hear later - there is an oboe at the later first half of the calm point, yes.

Experimental accords. Chords, I dunno.
Notes with more than or equal to three keys pressed down.

Thanks for reviewing!

Music...

Ok, it's not bad what you've done. Your chord progression is pretty solid. The arp is too dominant in the mix though, bring it back, and your lead has a good rhythm and the tone is good, but it definately needs more generous reverb.

Something else that needs some more attention is the hi-hats. They don't exist for most of the track! A strong off-beat hat is pretty important in trance, and you at least need an eighth note pattern. The kick roll is a little 'in your face', and generally, if you roll up like that you really need to crank the energy of the song up as well, so use it sparingly.

Keep trying, I'm sure your tracks will rock big time eventually.

Aephion responds:

Thank you so much ^_^

I really don't know the first thing about trance, so your comments are really helpful (seeing as this is my first attempt at a trance track, really.)
