intense beats man

I can dig it. Full marks for variety and track development.
My favourite part has to be the second half with that rolling, pulsing bass. Love those distorted vocals. It adds some awesome high frequencies. Definitely a great groove here.
Hoovers..why not?! :) nice...
That harsh snare pattern at the end of every bar is a good continuous element in the track. Keeps things moving. Would have loved to hear a bit of variation in those distorted patterns though. I can imagine it breaking into a full on 'glitch carnival'!
Well man, an enjoyable listen. My only complaint was that even though it is noizecore, I dont know if the master channel should clip? My mixers redlighting!

TheComet responds:

95% of the industrial stuff I've heard clips like crazy XD
I put on a Soft Clipper so you wouldn't get any peaking almost no matter how loud I go with it, gotta love it :P

thx for the review, glad to hear someone liking this, noizecore:You either love it or you hate it, no real middle ground

cool as

Definitely industrial. Reminds me of the soundtrack for Doom. Sweet guitar just watch that open hi-hat/crash volume! Gets a bit intense compared to the other rhythmic elements.
Nice co-ordination of the synths in the more chilled section that follows. Good sound choices and the chord progression feels just right.
Good build, back into the final run. Sounds kind of triumphant. Nice strings/pads in the backgrounds. And the guitar fits really well. I think I heard some wicked slides in the end. Cool!

Nice one..just watch the percussion volume, and maybe update the drum sounds a bit in general?

solving the eternal puzzle

Nice simple track. The bass keeps the momentum rolling along, and there's some very nice little rolls in the percussion that make me happy.

I can imagine trying to defuse a bomb or something as the puzzle. Or maybe some kind of maze/escape game with a military/spy theme.

top notch

You've certainly achieved a wafting, drifting BOC feel. Very nice guitar riff. Goes together perfect with the bass.
Aaah, the electronics, this is what we came here to see! Really nice harmonizations of the pads, and the simple timing maintains the drifting away/melancholy feel.
Really nice sparkly solo sound here, some really nice 'bluesy' notes in there. Hey, ARE you BOC? :)
Nice, the guitar and the solo instrument sound great playing without the beat.
And the loop.
Well, congratz man. The song isn't complex but its extremely effective and gels together well.

SineRider responds:

Hehe, no I'm not BoC (although I wish I was)

Well, I had been listening to "The Campfire Headphase". I loved how they mixed there ambient style with simple guitar riffs and tones.

I have always wanted to include guitars into my music, but was never really sure how to do it, with what I make.

I kept most of it pretty simple. Even the guitar part is simple 3 not rotation.

Thanks for the review man =)

great, great!

Cool man, loving the Daft Punk style guitar especially. The synth melodies are really tight and sound like they would have taken ages to program in all that detail. They fit the groove really well despite their complexity and thats always really hard to do.
Fine transitions in the middle here with those crystally chords. Sounding mellow but really, REALLY upbeat! Would suit just about any anime cartoon and would be a fun dance track.
Gotta hand it to you. This track is excellent!

wicked

Thats some seriously intense riffage! Nothing beats a good shred session, and I have you to thank in some way for introducing me to that experience! Phat power chords, the riff really makes me think Jet Li should be storming an enemy base and dealing out justice with every guitar stab. I never really realised how complicated heavy metal drum programming is till I tried it myself. This is the stuff right here, you've got all kinds of awesome triplet kicks and snare, tom and cymbal transitions that make it sound really complete. Oh, speedmetalmessiah is the drum man this time hey? He knows his stuff!
Well, please continue to crank up the gain!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Personally, I'm not very happy how this one turned out. I haven't noticed the clips on the overall track. *sigh*

I'm also going to update my equipment in the next time, I can't stand my sound I have atm, it sounds way to compressed. :/

Yeah, speedy made the drums and I have to say, he really did a great job on them. Jet li ftw! D:

Thanks for the review mate!

well done

Me likes, you got the flow of the track just right if you were going for a Tool flavour, with those drifting pads and the tabla kind of drums. Nice repetitive synth motif.
Very nice distortion and chord progression from the guitars.
Nice mood, you just need some vocals to add the finishing touches!

Jimmypig responds:

thanks for the review! i would love to add vocals but i cant sing or write lyrics :(

i feel the beat

Phat man. Really upfront, intense track. Loving the kick and snare pattern, there's a wicked groove to it, almost like some of the beats are reversed?

I'm loving the minimal bass that comes in from time to time. Reminds me of UK grime a bit. If I can generate one complaint it would be that the hats seem to be acted upon pretty harshly by the compressor. The 3rd and 4th of the bar seem to disappear, maybe that was the intended effect.

Great use of fx and the amount of variety deserves praise. Having the minimal bass is kind of a genius move actually, because you want to listen to it again to hear the damn cool acid.
Tease.

On another note, you should probably check out other sites where your breaks might reach a more accepting crowd. It kills me that your trax dont get their due notice here...:P

oh yeah

Wicked fx on those bug sounds at the start. Classy intro, definitely club flavour. Might be the downfall of the track on NG actually, the bass might be a bit too understated for their taste?

Great buildup there, I kind of lost my senses for a second there's so many Maas style sliding fx. Very good incorporation of the original theme into your track by the way. Really takes me back to the good 'ol days. That tom roll sounds really good.

The structure is commendable with the cool fx laden interlude. Might be an opportunity to cut up the vocal a bit and do a bit of messing around that way?

The track is quality man, and they'd definitely play it on FBI. If there's one suggestion I could make was that there could be some wicked leads ripping the place apart for a final bash?
The concept of the song is really good, I'd just like to be blown away at the end.

stylish

nice glitch on the vocals! The eerie pad creates really good tension. Wicked flange on the synth. It sounds like it would be nice sleazy techno/house track. You just need to go crazy putting samples of women in there. The one you've got in there now is awesome, the way you've cut it up.
Cool, dark techno style riffage.
I like the minimal bass line too.
Sorry it took so long getting back to ya man! I'll check out some of your others soon!
